Yes. We gratefully accept donations during store hours. Due to limited space, we may occasionally pause donations or decline items that do not meet our guidelines.
Please ensure items are clean, gently used, and from a smoke free home.
We accept a variety of gently used items including:
• Clothing for all ages
• Shoes and accessories
• Household items and décor
• Books, games, and movies
• Toys and seasonal items
• Small kitchen appliances and kitchenware
Items must be clean and in good, usable condition.
To maintain quality and safety standards, we may decline items that are:
• Broken or missing parts
• Stained, heavily worn, or damaged
• Unsafe or recalled items
• Items requiring extensive cleaning or repair
• Large items we cannot safely store
Most items in our store are priced very affordably. Occasionally you may see higher priced items, typically unique, vintage, or higher end brands. These “money maker” items help generate additional revenue that supports BFU programs and keeps prices low on the majority of items in the store.
Barrie Families Unite works with community partners and referral agencies to provide dignified access to essential items for individuals and families facing hardship. As the Give Back Rack grows, we will continue expanding these partnerships so more people can access support.
