Volunteers are the heartbeat of Barrie Families Unite, and Give Back Rack is where that heartbeat is felt every day.
Our community thrift store supports both public shoppers and individuals referred through local agencies. Volunteers help make this dignified, welcoming experience possible from the moment donations arrive to the moment someone leaves the store with what they need.

We are currently offering two primary volunteer roles within Give Back Rack.
📦 Back-End Sorting & Retail Support
Help behind-the-scenes to sort donations and prepare items for the sales floor.
🛍️ Front-End Store & Retail Support
Welcome shoppers and help create a warm, respectful environment for community members

All volunteer roles offer flexible hours to meet the needs of our volunteer team.
As we grow, we also welcome volunteers interested in fundraising support, events, communications, social media, governance, and special projects.

Join the Wear the Change Crew
Love finding great deals? Love sharing creative ideas? Want to help spread the word about Give Back Rack?
The Wear the Change Crew is our ambassador program for people who want to support Give Back Rack in a fun, creative, and community-minded way.
Crew members receive store credit to complete themed challenges and share their finds on social media. Challenges may include outfits, gift ideas, seasonal finds, home items, special events, holiday picks, or whatever fun idea we come up with next.
Each challenge includes a theme, shopping window, posting window, and store credit amount. Store credit may vary depending on the challenge.
This is a great fit for anyone who enjoys being creative, finding hidden gems, supporting local community impact, and showing others what is possible when affordability and purpose come together.
Whether you are into fashion, gifts, home finds, content creation, or just love a good deal, we would love to have you join the crew.
